During this time Vanya underwent eight chemotherapy courses, a major surgery (the first one in Belarus) to remove the tumor and introduction of stem cell transplants. Then there was a radiation therapy.
The survey in Moscow showed a positive result. But according to international treatment standards, he still needs a neuroblastoma antibody therapy. Immunotherapy is designed to activate the body's own immune system to detect and destroy neuroblastoma cells that survived after chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
