Press Release
In early Augusts 4 correspondents of the TV News Agency Yuri Groerov, Egor Livai, Alesya Vysotskaya and Violetta Sokolovich decided to make their first sky dive.
Before getting off the ground the guys had 3 hours of training, learning how to snap the lift webs, making pilot jumps from small monticles and repeating the movements they would have to do in the air. Only after that they bailed out on the altitude of 3.000 feet (this is the altitude, at which all skydiving novices are ejected). The newscaster Yuri Groev was the first one to take a leap in the abyss.
"While training, everybody felt so funny, - says Yuri. - But when I came up to the door and looked down at people of the size of ants and cars like match boxes I felt really scared. Yet the fear vanished quickly and when I heard the command "Drive on!". I said to myself "Come what will!". Than I pushed off and jumped, counted 3 seconds and pulled the ring. At that moment I had the most unusual and thrilling experience. I felt not like flying, but rather like hovering in the air amidst incredible silence. It was like paradise".
The guys say that after the flight they felt amazing levity, nearly believing they had just to bob to fly another 20 meters.
This breathtaking experience made the team go for more adventure. Next Saturday they are going to put on wet suits and dive into the Lake Naroch. The journalists try to be always in the center of events, live up to the hilt and share their experience with you.
