It was the first contest of non-fiction movies within the frameworks of the festival. The main selection criteria were international and national awards. Best producers of documentary from Belarus, Iran, Great Britain, Vietnam, Armenia, Sweden and other states completed for awards of the prestigious festival. The work by Sergey Rybakov was highly estimated by the jury.
This year "Curved Field" was acknowledged the best documentary at VI Natinoal Festival of Belarusian films "Crystal Stork" held in Brest.
The first demonstration of "Curved Field" was timed to 21st years since the Chernobyl tragedy. It was broadcasted by the First TV Channel. Alexander Martynenko is the author of the idea, Sergey Rybakov directed the film, and Irina Akulovich is the reporter. The film is about life of villages that are situated in the Chernobyl zone.
"Curved Field" is an observation, a try to understand philosophy of the people. The life of the main characters sometimes shocks, sometimes makes laugh; however mostly it makes thinking of what keeps these people at their own land.
