TV channels to greet torch of II European Games in Minsk

The solemn transfer of the Flame of Peace relay to the hero city of Minsk on State Flag Square will take place on June 17, and then the torch will proceed through the enterprises and sights of the capital. The sports channel of the media holding Belarus 5 will show all the festive events live, Belarus 24 will offer a television version of the ceremony, and the TV news crew will continue to cover the main events of the Flame of Peace relay.

Now the fire of the II European Games follows through Minsk Region: Soligorsk, Nesvizh, Molodechno, Borisov, Zhodino. On June 17, the Flame of Peace torch will arrive in Minsk. A bright theatrical performance and a festive concert were prepared for the participants of the Games, Minsk residents and guests of the capital.

The TV channel Belarus 5 will start the live broadcast of the ceremonial meeting of the Flame of Peace torch relay in Minsk at 21.00, and the international satellite Belarus 24 will prepare a TV version of the festive event. The highlights of the meeting of the fire of the II European Games will also be seen by the audience of Belarus 1 during the live broadcast on June 17 in Panorama. After the celebrations, the fire of the European Games will highlight the main avenues of the capital and go to the main enterprises and sights of Minsk.

The Flame of Peace relay will finish on June 21 at the National Olympic Stadium “Dinamo”, where the Inauguration of the II European Games of 2019 will take place. During the festive ceremony, the famous cup will be lit, which shone in the sparks of the Olympic flame in 1980. The opening ceremony of the continental championship will be watched by viewers of the TV channels Belarus 1 and Belarus 5.

The symbolic fire of the competition was lit on May 3 by Olympic champions from Belarus in the unique Altar of the World Museum in Rome. From there, the Belarusian mountaineers raised the Flame of Peace and the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus to the highest point of the route - Mount Blanc. Then the relay went to Europe - Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland. On May 12, our "Olympic" torch arrived in Belarus, and 450  local famous people carried the torch throughout all regions of the country.
