Football amateurs will be able to watch Premier League matches. It will be even more interesting for Belarusians since one of the best players of Belarus Alexander Gleb is playing for “Arsenal” from London. “LAD” will be broadcasting games of the English championship as well as surveys of the tours. First National TV Channel will continue coverage of UEFA Champions League and in 2006 will provide full broadcast of Soccer World Cup.
Traditionally Belteleradiocompany will be broadcasting the Olympics to be held in Turin; a special studio has been created for coverage of the main sport event.
Besides, the two channels will broadcast world and European championships on participation of Belarusian athletes including Biathlon World Cup and World Championship. In September the audience of the First National TV Channel will be able to watch Soccer World Cup and U-21 Soccer European Championship qualifyings, reports from boxing tournament and the audience of “LAD” TV Channel will be provided with broadcasts of Rowing World Championship, matches of Belarus Open Ice Hockey championship, billiard Euro tour.
Sports Division also prepared a number of new programs. “Man’s Character” will be about martial art and combat training; about the way really man’s character is being molded. “Olympic Visa” will be broadcasted 16 weeks before start of the Olympics expanding on the way Belarusian team is being trained, history of winter Olympics and participation of Belarusian athletes.
Vladimir Novitsky will represent his project about athletes defended the honor of the nation at international competitions.
“LAD” TV Channel will present series of documentaries “Distance with no Finish” about prominent moments of Belarusian sport. “There is a moment” show will be broadcasted in new format. “Golden Moments of Belarusian Sport” will be about history of the national sport movement.
