The documentary series “Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk”. Pages of History” tells about the creation of the festival back in 1988, when Vitebsk hosted the Festival of the Polish Song.
The audience will learn about the First Union Contest of the Polish Song, construction of the amphitheater, fairs of crafts, hosts of the festival, prizes and work of the press. Famous guests and simple residents of Vitebsk will share their impressions about the festival in different years. Besides, the program will demonstrate unique archive records of Belteleradiocompany. The host of the program “Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk”. Pages of History” is the national artist of Belarus Elena Spiridovich.

The documentary series “Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk”. Pages of History” will be aired by the First Channel on weekdays at 15.30 (reruns in the night air) and by “Belarus-TV” at 20:30 (reruns in the noon air). The first series will be demonstrated on June 18 and the last one on July 6, several hours before the start of 16th International festival “Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk 2007".
