Yesterday night, Sofia hosted the Junior Eurovision final, broadcast live by the Belarus 1 and Belarus 24 TV channels, as well as on the official website of Belteleradiocompany tvr.by. Belarusian Ruslan Aslanov with the song Magic took the 4th place.

The contest featured 17 countries, Australia and Ireland being this year’s debutants. According to voting results, the winner is Malta’s Destiny Chukunyere with 185 points.

The 13-year-old Ruslan Aslanov performed at number ten. His Magic helped him score 105 points and secure the 4th place. The young artist along with the Belarusian delegation returned to Minsk today to be met by friends and journalists at Minsk National Airport.

“Of course, it was exciting to perform the song in front of an audience of millions. This is a huge responsibility. I tried not only to represent Belarus at the contest, but to get the most out of the performance itself. Looking further ahead, I hope to some day participate in the adult Eurovision. Just wait!”, Ruslan Aslanov said upon his return to Minsk.

The Belarusian delegation included Ruslan Aslanov, accompanied by his mother, Belteleradiocompany representatives, vocal producer Olga Drozdova, phoniatrist Natalia Konoyko, stylist Zhanna Leonova and Valeria Drobyshevskaya, who announced Belarus’ voting results in the final.

The preparation of the Belarusian participant for the international Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 was carried out by Belteleradiocompany as the only European Broadcasting Union member in the country.
