"The need our care" action was timed to the International Children's Day. First National Channel of Belarusian Radio held a 24-hour radio marathon and “Radius-FM” station organized concert in the Central Children’s Park.
Little patients of Oncology and Medical Radiology Research Institute received notebooks, DVD-players, EGM’s, wheelchairs, mobile phones, toys and medical appliances. Many people brought presents right to the House of Radio at 4 Krasnaya Str. in Minsk.
On the International Children's Day the studio of the First National Channel of Belarusian Radio was visited by state officials, political and public figures as well as music stars. In total over 300 people were on air of Belarusian radio.
A hot phone line for working with the audience of the marathon was organized. Deputy Director of First National Channel of Belarusian Radio, director of information and public broadcasting division Anton Vasiukevich noted that the motto of the action is "To give warmth and care to every child" found response in hearts of Belarusians.
A lot of people, organizations and companies took part in the action. Workers of Belteleradiocompany actively participated in collection of money for the marathon.
The money collected will be spent for needs of Belarusian boarding schools for children with limited abilities.
"They need our care" action found great social response. Following example of Belarusian radio a lot of organizations continue donating money directly to accounts of boarding schools.
