Radio "Belarus" signs Agreement on Cooperation with Xinhua

On September 10, a delegation of journalists from the People's Republic of China visited the Belarusian International Radio Broadcasting Directorate (Radio "Belarus"). During the official visit, an Agreement on Cooperation between the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus and Moscow Office of Chinese Information Agency Xinhua was signed.

Xinhua is the official state news agency of the PRC government and a major news and press conference center, the official Chinese news service. The agency was founded on November 7, 1931, the main office is located in Beijing with180 correspondent points outside of China. 24 hours a day, Xinhua transmits information to every part of the planet in different languages, including Russian. And the international radio Belarus broadcasts in 9 languages, including Chinese from 2013.

The main director of the main directorate of international broadcasting (Radio Belarus) Naum Galperovich, the director of the Asia-Europe Bureau of the Xinhua Agency Fan Weigo and the correspondent of the Minsk office of the Wei agency attended the negotiations and the signing ceremony of the Agreement, which was held today in the Radio House by the leadership of the radio station "Belarus" and members of the Chinese delegation.

The agreement provides for strengthening cooperation in the field of information exchange. One of the points in the agreement is the creation of Window to China feature on the website www.radiobelarus.by publishing current news about cooperation between Belarus and China will be published. The parties also agreed on carrying out joint projects.

During the visit, journalists from China visited the studios of the Belarusian Radio, met with the staff of the International Radio Belarus and exchanged experience with colleagues.
