In order to get a feel of the audience’s expectations of the new channel, the sociological laboratory NOVAK has conducted a study called "New (family) channel: audience preferences and expectations".
Members of focus groups were asked to select from the list of 86 definitions those properties and qualities that they feel the new family channel should have. A slant to education and upbringing, politics-free programming, pragmatism, interactivity and entertainment are the top 5 features viewers are hoping for. Poll participants believe that the family channel is to be dynamic, educational, kind, friendly, interesting, mass-oriented, comprehensible, true, for-the-whole-family, fashionable, future-proof, etc.
The LAD coverage in Belarus will constitute 77%. Compare it with other TV media: First National Channel - 99%, RTR - 58%, NTV - 44%. The channel is based on regional branch inputs, the airtime will be constructed in such a way as to ensure logical links between regional and national sections.
