On February 9-25 the Korean Pyeongchang will host the ХХІІІ Winter Olympic Games. Alongside multimillion world TV audience, the Belarusian viewers will also be able to see the major sport forum. TV channels of Belteleradiocompany Belarus 1, Belarus 2 and Belarus 5 will traditionally broadcast the Olympics.
The Winter Olympics will be held in South Korea for the first time. 102 sets of medals will be played in 15 disciplines, which represent 7 sports.
More than 90 national teams including their best athletes will arrive in Pyeongchang. Within 17 days 28 Belarusian athletes will qualify for the highest places in competitions in biathlon, freestyle, speed skating, short track, skiing and mountaineering.

The main ceremony of the ХХІІІ Winter Olympic Games will be broadcast for the audience by TV channel Belarus 1. On February 9, the Grand Opening of the Olympic Games 2018 will take place at the Olympic Palace. At this stadium, the relay of the Olympic torch will finish, then an hour-long dynamic show and the parade of the participating countries will follow. The details of the spectacular action are kept secret, but the viewers of the main channel of the country can not doubt that they will see all the festivities on the air!
Belarus 1, within the framework of Olympic Visa project tells about the rules, subtleties and nuances of each Olympic sport.
Diaries of the Olympics, prepared by sports journalists of Belteleradiocomany will traditionally tell about the most interesting and exciting moments. They will start on Belarus 1 on February 8. The hot Olympic events will also be presented in the editions of the News.
