Official representative of Belarus at Junior Eurovision Song Contest-2018 to be announced in week

On August 31, the intrigue of the National selection round of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest-2018 will be resolved: the winner will be determined who will represent our country at the prestigious international music forum, which will be held in Minsk this year.

This year the final of the National selection round promises to become a real vocal battle with participation of group Myata (Minsk), Daniel Alex Yastremsky (Minsk), Elizaveta Meya (Zhodino, Minsk region), Artem Skorol (Oshmyany, Grodno region), Angelina Yaroshchuk (Minsk), vocal group Monkey Tops (Minsk), Maria Zhilina (Minsk), Yaroslav Sokolikov (Minsk), Nikita Belko (Minsk), Maria Gulevich (Minsk).

The final show in the form of a gala concert will begin at 22.00 on August 31. It will be broadcast by the TV channels Belarus 1 and Belarus 24, as well as the official website of the media holding www.tvr.by. The winner will be determined by the results of the voting of the professional jury and viewers. The winner will represent Belarus at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest-2018 on November 25 this year in Minsk.

Teo and Olga Ryzhikova, hosts of the program Good Morning, Belarus!, will accompany the participants of the finals during the whole show.

Representative of Belarus at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest-2017 Helena Meraai will open the gala concert. She will perform the song I Am The One, which was performed at the international song forum in Tbilisi.

The opportunity to perform as guests of the gala concert will be given to the children who did not manage to qualify for the final of this year's national selection, but the professional jury noted the high level of their creative performances during the audition.

The performance of each of the 10 finalists will be preceded by a video postcard prepared by the creative team of the media holding with director Yana Shablyko. Starting from August 27, postcards will be aired in the program Good Morning, Belarus! Thus, the TV audience will get acquainted with the finalists of the qualifying round on the air of the channel Belarus 1.

The National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus is the organizer and coordinator of all events of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest-2018 as the only member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) in our country.
