Every fourth listener (24%) chooses entertainment (contests, games, quizzes, etc.). Every fifth (22%) likes humor programs.
Notably, a relative majority of polled listeners (7.4%) named Radius-FM as the most preferred station, which is much ahead Russian Radio (4.6%), Radio Rox (3.7%), BA (3.5%). There are more Radius-FM fans amongst teenagers of 12-17 years (11%), boys and girls of 18-24 years (9%) and 25-29 years (10%), as well as citizens of 30-39 years (10%).
The survey results showed that radio as a mass medium is called for by 65%, and two thirds (66%) prefer the FM-range. FM-stations attract more actively men (72%): young people aged 12-17 years (86%) and 18-24 years (85%), 25-29 years (82%) and 30-39 years (80%). FM-broadcasting is preferred by managers of all levels (69% to 77%), businesspeople (83%), workers (70%), service people (79%) and students (87%). According to sociologists, across-the-board leadership of Radius-FM within the FM-range is secured by meeting preferences of its audience - the most active, well-provided and dynamic part of the civic population.
The survey by Zerkalo-INFO was carried out from June 7-17, 2007. The poll covered over 2,000 dwellers of Belarusian cities aged 12 and above.
