Finalists of Junior Eurovision-2017 national round selected
The finalists of the national selection round of Junior Eurovision 2017 were announced on July 7. Ten finalists were chosen by the professional jury.
The professional jury included: composer, the people's Artist of Belarus, senior deputy chairman of the Belarusian Union of Composers Eduard Zaritsky (Jury Chairman); Deputy Director of TV channel Belarus 1 Olga Salamakha; composer, arranger Gennady Markevich; singer, official representative of Belarus at the international song contest Eurovision-2015 Uzari; popular singer Iskui Abalyan, consultant at the Department of Professional Arts Management of the Ministry of Culture of Belarus Tatiana Parkhamovich, PR Manager Sergey Andrianov.
The organizers allowed to the auditions all the applicants, whose applications have been filed in accordance with the requirements specified in the Regulations, that is 45 participants including 37 solo performers and 8 bands.
The auditions were held at the large 600 Meters TV studio and included live vocal performance with music and (or) phonogram recorded without any kind of vocal or vocal imitation.
Following the results of the auditions the following performers went to the final:
1. Ruslana Panchishina (Minsk);
2. Helena Meraai (Minsk);
3. Stephanie Sokolova (Minsk);
4. Anastasia Zhabko (Minsk);
5. The quartet of the National V. Mulyavin Children's Art Center: Maxim Tsuprikov, Angelina Lomako, Stephanie Kruglaya and Stephanie Sokolova (Minsk);
6. Maria Zhilina (Minsk);
7. Duet Arina Pekhtereva and Anastasia Dmitrachkova (Mogilev);
8. Yaroslav Sokolikov (Minsk);
9. Anastasia Timofeevich (Brest);
10. Elina Mataras (Minsk) .
The final show in the form of the live gala concert on Belarus 1 and Belarus 24 will be held not later than September 16.
The winner of the qualifying round will represent Belarus at Junior Eurovision-2017 on November 26 in Tbilisi (Georgia).
