Evridiki took part in Eurovision twice as a soloist (1992 and 1994) and thrice as a back-up singer (1983, 1986, 1987). She was drawn to sing as number three this year.
By the way, on March 26 she releases her 13th album which she called "13". She wrote most of the stuff herself. The disc will include her contest number in French “Comme Ci, Comme Ca” (“Nothing”), written by Posidonas Yiannopoulos and composed by Dimitris Korgialas.
Evridiki spoke in favorable terms about Belarusian contestant Koldun who she happened to meet as he was touring Cyprus. “My number is three, Dima’s number is four. So we will have our fingers crossed in the backstage together. I take particular delight in that he will be the last to wish me to “break my leg” and the first to shake my hand after the performance”.
BTRC has at its disposal audio recordings and video clips of all 42 Eurovision-2007 contestants allowed in the rotation by Belarusian TV and radio broadcasters. “Good Morning, Belarus!”, for example, runs a clip of one of the participants between 7:30 and 8:00 in the morning giving the Belarusian viewers a chance to get to know all the participants before the contest in Helsinki.
