The deadline for the submission of applications to Junior Eurovision has been extended to March 15 following repeated requests by art studio directors.
This year the Song for Eurovision consists of three stages: selection round, semifinal and final.
The deadline for sending applications has been moved to March 15, 2008, and started in January.
The results of the selection round will be summarized. The jury will review applications and select 20 songs that will qualify for the semifinal in May 2008. 10 finalists will be selected during the semifinal.
The final of the national contest will take place in September 2008 as a gala concert. The winner will be determined through viewers' telephone voting and jury voting.
The age range for the national contest is 10 to 15 years on the day of the international contest.
Eligible songs should have lyrics in Russian and Belarusian, and music that has been never commercially sold or performed in public.
