A centerpiece of the successful drive "Discovering Belarus" in London has been a photo exhibition "Belarus Heritage" authored by BTRC journalists Alexander Alexeev and Oleg Lukashevich who handed over albums "Belarus Heritage" and "Belarus Heritage. Treasures" to the British Museum.
The Belarusian Embassy in Great Britain mounted a large-scale campaign called "Discovering Belarus". Diplomats from 40 countries managed to become familiar with Belarusian culture, music and national legacy.
The photo exhibition "Belarus Heritage", instrumental to the whole campaign, opened at the prestigious Pushkin House downtown London.
In his welcome address Alexander Alexeev stressed: "We hope that our photo exhibition and albums will help you learn more about our country. You will know that Belarus is an open, friendly state in Europe with rich and unique history, and today it is part of the world heritage".
The exhibition generated huge interest and warm responses of diplomats, art lovers and other visitors.
