On January 11, Belteleradiocompany will host an open audition of applicants for the national qualifying round of the International Eurovision Song Contest-2018. The official site www.tvr.by will traditionally hold an online broadcast from the media holding studio.
The audition will be held with live vocals accompanied by music and (or) a phonogram recorded with no vocals of any type or any vocal imitations.
This year all the applicants will be allowed to audition, whose applications are submitted in accordance with the requirements specified in the Regulations. As of today, Belteleradiocompany has received more than 30 applications. Among the applicants are contestants who have repeatedly participated in national selections - Janet, ALEN HIT, KATTIE, group PROVOCATION, Alexandra Tkach and others.
Today is the deadline for submitting applications for participation in the National Qualifying Round. In accordance with the Regulations, the last day of sending parcels is December 26, 2017.
It is worth noting that applicants usually send their parcels in the last days before the deadline, and this year was no exception. Therefore, Belteleradiocompany will be waiting several days, so that all parcels sent in the established timeframe could reach the address of the media holding and were considered by the selection organizers.
On January 11 potential participants of the song forum will be able to present their songs to the professional jury. The names of the finalists will be known on the same day in the evening. According to the Regulations, there will be no more than fifteen finalists.
Final selection will take place no later than on March 1, 2018 in the format of a television concert. The participant of the finals with the most points from the professional jury and the TV audience, will be declared the winner of the project and become the official representative of the Republic of Belarus at the international song contest Eurovision-2018 in Lisbon (Portugal).
The organizer of the National selection round is the country's main media holding. The selection is conducted in accordance with the Regulations developed by the organizer and the Competition Rules established by the European Broadcasting Union.
