Belteleradiocompany received 113 applications from 16 countries for participation in the national qualifying round of Eurovision 2015 song contest. The auditions of applicants will be held on February 4, at 12.00, in 600 meters studio of Belteleradiocompany.
From January 22 to January 31, 2019, the media holding received 113 applications from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Italy, Spain, Portugal, UK, Sweden, USA, Canada, Latvia, Israel, Kazakhstan and Nigeria. In less than 10 days, a record number of applications in the last 7 years were filed. For example, the number of performers willing to go to Eurovision Song Contest 2018 was 93, and 67 performers wished to represent Belarus at Eurovision 2017.
All applications will be checked by the organizers for compliance with the provisions of the National Selection Regulations.
The list of applicants includes both newcomers and participants in the adult and junior Eurovision selections of the past years: ZENA, Angelika Pushnova, Michael Soul, Alen Hit, Natalia Kudrina, Diana Gromova, the Aura, PROvokatsia and Napoli bands.
On Monday, the focus group will sum up the results of the selection round. By a simple majority of votes, ten performers will be selected to participate in the final. The number of participants selected for the final may be changed by the decision of the organizers at the suggestion of the focus group.
