The Belarusian Radio runs two national channels - the First National Channel and Culture Channel - and 3 radio stations - Belarus, Stolitsa, Radius-FM. The total production is 100 hours a day.
The calling card of the Belarusian Radio is the First National Channel with 80%+ coverage of the country. This is the highest rating among electronic mass media. The First National Channel is the main information and political channel of the country providing coverage of the home and foreign policy. The news programs include “Radiofact”, “Post factum”, “Events: Facts and Comments”, economic programs - “Partner” and “Economic Course”. There are a lot of other projects in the field of rural development, culture, sports and music. The First National Channel broadcasts 24 hours a day.
The Culture Channel started to broadcast in January 2002 to promote the best traditions of the Belarusian and world culture. The channel is the main user of archive materials of the Belarusian Radio and supplier of new audio recordings of Belarusian authors. The channel has a news service which provides a cultural coverage of life in Belarus and abroad. The Culture Channel broadcasts 17 hours a day.
Radio Station “Belarus” has been working since May 1962. It runs Belarusian, Russian, English and German services. The broadcasting covers Eastern, Central and Western Europe including more than 20 countries of the region. With the launch of the webcasting of the English service, the radio station has become accessible around the globe. The objective of the radio station is to build a positive image of the country in the eyes of foreign listeners, and bring fast info about the inner and outer policy of the country. The radio station broadcasts 5 hours a day. Since September 1, 2005, the webcasting of the radio station reached 10 hours a day.
Radio Station “Stolitsa” has been broadcasting since September 1998. It covers the life of Minsk and Minsk Region, prepares analytical and musical programs for all audiences. "Stolitsa" broadcasts 20 hours a day.
Radio Station “Radius FM” has been operational since July 2003. Music and news are its focus. The target audience are the 20-38-year-olds. “Radius-FM” broadcasts 24 hours a day featuring mainly Belarusian performers.
