The Belarusian delegation will start toward Bucharest on November 26. Andrey Kunets and the crew will have a tight preparatory schedule blended with some side events, e.g. visiting the Village Museum, Glass Museum, etc.
The Belarusian delegation will be comprised of Andrey Kunets, dancers Pavlina Kostyan, Anastasia Semko, Xenia Subbotina, Anastasia Suslova, Andrey’s mother, art director Svetlana Statsenko, choreographer Alexander Zenchenko, vocal doctor Zhanna Romanova, Belteleradiocompany people.
The contest will be held at Sala Polivalenta with contestants from Belarus, Belgium, Greece, Spain, Cyprus, Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Sweden, Ukraine.
The show hosts will be prominent Romanian TV announcer Andrea Marin and 12-year-old TV star Ioana Ivan.
The show will be also additionally televised for Andorra and Australia. The expected TV viewing audience is roughly 25 million. Ksenia Sitnik will act as a special guest in the show. Over 3,000 people will come to see the show.
The age limit for the junior contest is 15 years old. The maximum playing time of a song is 2 minutes 45 seconds. Songs are sung in the national language.
The German Digame will process voting this year. The voting begins with the first song and ends 15 minutes after the last song was performed. The voting will end after the second replay of all songs (the space between two replays will be filled with a number by the special guest). Telephone numbers will be shown on screen at the beginning of each song and during two replays and in-between replays.
Once the voting is finished, Digame will have seven minutes to collect, convert into points and transmit data to EBU and participating companies (from which studios children read out scorings one after another).
According to the contest rules, Belarusian TV viewers will vote for all but their own contestant. To vote by phone, one should dial 8 810 101 03 ХХ (ХХ - the number of a singer of your liking from 01 to 15). A call will cost 1, 180 Belarusian rubles. For text-voting (available for all mobile users) you need to punch 7708 to send an SMS with the number you liked (from 01 tо 15). One message will cost 1, 300 rubles.
There is a backup jury consisting of 8 and giving points in case the telephone voting fails. BTRC shall determine the composition of the back-up jury. Information about jury members is secret and cannot be disclosed. The jury cannot vote for their own candidate or refrain from voting.
Once again the 2006-Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be televised on Saturday, 2 December, starting 21:15 Belarusian time on First Channel and Belarus-TV satellite channel.
