Stars of the First National TV Channel Larisa Gribaleva and Ales Krugliakov hosted the concert. Opening the night they noted that the debut at “Eurovision” is a good opportunity for Belarus to remind the world of talented hardworking people in the center of Europe who are able to come to the front in all spheres of life - from sport and culture to science and business.
All guests of the concert aimed to support first Belarusian participants of “Eurovision”. First Deputy Minister of Culture of Belarus Vladimir Rylatko, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Belarus Ali Vural Oktem, director of National Academic Theater named after Yanka Kupala Gennady Davydko, prominent Belarusian movie director Alexander Efremov, Deputy Mayor of Borisov Valentina Shutko, Producer General of the First National TV Channel have supported “Alexandra & Konstantin” that night.
Distinguished Artist of USSR, composer, professor Igor Luchenok, Distinguished Artist of Belarus, composer Vasily Rainchik with his students Victoria Oleshko and Alexander Soloveichik, Distinguished Artists of Belarus Alexander Tikhonovich and Yadviga Poplavskaya have come to support the duo.
Belarusian State Ensemble “Pesniary” who will support “Alexandra & Konstantin” on stage in Istanbul, Oleg Khomenko and “Palace”, Inna Afanasieva, Alesia, Alexander Solodukha, Iskui Abalian, Alexandra Gaiduk, Natalia Tamelo, Kiril Sluka, participant of children’s “Eurovision-2003” young Olya Satsiuk and many others performed in the concert hall with only one goal - to inspire the duo to do their best in Turkey.
Famous Belarusian sportsmen also took part in the action: tennis player Max Mirny, head coach of Belarusian ice hockey team Mihail Zakharov and legendary Belarusian player from NHL’s Anaheim Ruslan Saley.
Ukraine’s Ruslana and Lithuania’s duo “Linas & Simona” have sent Belarusians their video greetings; Latvia’s duo “Fomins & Kleins” have especially come to Minsk to perform with “Alexandra & Konstantin” “The Song of Happiness” that Latvians will perform in Turkey.
In order to “reinforce” all wishes of the night the guests presented the duo with souvenirs. The most original one was probably telescope presented by Minsk Planetarium. Olya Satsiuk brought small clay shoes, Ruslan Saley handed in shirts of Belarusian hokey team with number 12 - maximum points at the upcoming “Eurovision”.
“Alexandra & Konstantin” in their turn presented the audience with a possibility to see their performance of “My Galileo” the way it will be done in Turkey.
Let’s wish “Alexandra & Konstantin” luck and success in Turkey! Let the words “Belarus - 12 points” will sound more often. 12 points is the maximum points possible to receive from one voting country. However Belarus may not vote for “Alexandra & Konstantin” love and support of the home audience should aid the duo to do their best.
