Belarus to bring together record number of participating countries at Junior Eurovision 2018!

Today the European Broadcasting Union presented a list of all participating countries of the current song forum to Belteleradiocompany as the organizer of the international junior song contest Eurovision-2018.

19 countries have officially confirmed their participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest-2018: Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, France, Macedonia, Georgia. Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, the Netherlands, and Wales.

Thus, Belarus will host record number of participants in the entire history of Junior Eurovision Song Contest starting 2003. By the way, 16 countries took part in the first competition, in 2010, when the forum was held Minsk, there were 14 participants, last year 16 young talents performed on the Georgian stage.

According to the rules, only 18 countries can take part in the competition. However, this year EBU and Belteleradiocompany made an exception for Israel as the country-winner of the adult Eurovision-2017 and officially included it in the participants of the junior song forum.

The international song contest Junior Eurovision-2018 will be held in Belarus in November. The National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus acts as the organizer and coordinator of all events of Junior Eurovision-2018 as the only member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) in our country.
