The main objective of the ATN news shows on LAD is to provide coverage of the life in Minsk and the Minsk Region in a broad range of areas: politics, economy, culture, education and sports.
Early February will bring some changes to the news production pattern of the First National TV Channel. From January 31, the running time of the Panorama will be made longer by 10 minutes, and the end-of-the-day news show which earlier came out at 23.00 will now conclude the broadcast day of the channel. A weekly show “Around the World” aired on Saturdays will also have extra 10 minutes. Besides, the ATN creative staff is working on a new sports show to bring daily updates of major sports developments inside and outside of the country.
ATN special correspondents Olga Shumanskaya and Tatiana Furadeeva will debut with their new program “Nota Bene” on consumer legal awareness in February.
ATN creative people are currently working on a series of documentaries dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in conformity with a contract with the Broadcasting Company of the Belarus/Russia Union State. The project will include 15 original videos about each of the former USSR republics, which contributed to the defeat of fascist invaders in one way or another. ATN crews have already been to Moldova, Russia, Estonia and Tajikistan. Active work is being done in Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Armenia. At the end of January, they are scheduled to film in Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Lithuania and Belarus. The project will be completed on the eve of May 9th.
The new documentary series will also be shown by the Russian Channel “TV Center” and central television companies of the CIS states.
