Helena Meraai will represent Belarus at Junior Eurovision 2017 in Tbilisi, Georgia on November 26.

The winner's name was announced late at night on August 25 in the live air of TV channels Belarus 1 and Belarus 24. The online broadcast of the final of the national qualifying round was also provided by the official site of the country's main media holding www.tvr.by.

8 solo performers, a quartet and a duet of young performers fought for the right to enter the international stage of Junior Eurovision 2017. The final show was hosted by Teo and Olga Ryzhikova.

The organization of the national selection and preparation for the Junior Eurovision-2017 International Song Contest is traditionally carried out by Belteleradiocompany, as the only member of the European Broadcasting Union in Belarus.

Belarus has taken part in Junior Eurovision International Song Contest since its foundation in 2003. The first Belarusian participant of the forum was Olga Satsyuk. Our country has two victories: in 2005 the competition was won by Ksenia Sitnik with a song We are Together, in 2007 Alexey Zhigalkovich won with the composition With Friends. Last year, Alexander Minenok took the seventh place with Music of My Victories song.
