To cover the Games, a special Olympic team of Belteleradiocompany consisting of 15 persons will be working in its own studio. The total amount of broadcasting hours will be over 107 hours. Most of the broadcasts from Torino will be live ones.
Besides broadcasts, our Olympic Diaries will bring you daily reviews of the Games and accounts of what is happening around the Olympics.
The first Dairy will be out on February 9, the day before the opening.
On February 10, the Olympics opening ceremony will be shown by the First National TV Channel. Foreign television viewers will be able to view Olympic Diaries via Belarus'TV Satellite Channel.
The first broadcast will be arranged on February 11 - a 20-km Individual Biathlon Men Race.
In Torino, we will be competing in seven disciplines: biathlon, skiing, ski jumping, speed skating, short track, figure skating and freestyle. Also the always gripping hockey competition will be presented in large amounts. The Belarusian television will show Alpine skiing and snowboard competitions for the first time.
Olympic themes will be available in news shows as well. The studio in Belarus will be attended by Belarusian and foreign sportspeople, coaches, officials.
The results of the 2006 Olympics will inspire documentaries on the Belarusian participation.
