Lukashenko to deliver State of the Nation Address on 21 April

The annual State of the Nation Address of the President of Belarus is the main event of the day. It determines the main directions of further development of the country.

The event in the Oval Hall will be attended by Belarusian top-ranking officials, MPs, heads of public administration bodies, directors of major enterprises, representatives of the diplomatic service and mass media outlets.

The Address will have a traditional structure. It will consist of a number of big thematic blocks.

The head of state will speak about the most important social policy issues. These are the improvement of the pension system, healthcare, education, etc. Besides, the Address will focus on Belarus’ foreign policy priorities.

It is expected that the economic block will be the central one. First of all, it will touch upon the goals and plans for 2016 and the following 5-year period.

Belarus, Estonia sign agreement on rules of entry and residence of citizens

Belarus and Estonia have signed an agreement on the rules of the entry and residence of citizens on the territory of the two countries.

According to the document, Estonians will be able to stay in Belarus for 180 days instead of 90 days, as provided by the current visa regulations. The registration will be required on the 31st day.

The Belarusian and Estonian Ministries of Foreign Affairs welcomed the growing Belarusian-Estonian contacts, including business contacts. This creates good prospects for increasing a number of business trips, tourism development, as well as enhancing the trade turnover. Currently it makes up about $100 million.

Program of jubilee Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk festival announced

Top singers, an 8-hour poetry marathon, original paintings by Chagal Belarus has not yet seen, and balloons in the sky. The organizers announced the program of the the jubilee 25th "Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival. The forum will include more than one hundred projects. 16 thousand tickets have already been sold out. The 25th International Arts Festival "Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk" will take place from 14 th to 18 th of July. Last year artists from more than forty countries took part in the forum.
