Belarus’ President leaves on a working visit to Turkey
Belarus’ President Alexander Lukashenko went on a working visit to Turkey. Tomorrow the Head of State will attend the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul. It is expected that Belarus’ President will give a speech at the forum. It is the fourth visit of Alexander Lukashenko to Turkey. For the first time President of Belarus visited the Turkish capital 20 years ago. In 1996 Minsk and Ankara began to build up a political dialogue by signing important bilateral documents, namely the treaty on friendship and cooperation.
Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference delegation visits Belarus
Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference is ready for a dialogue with the Belarusian parliament. As a result an observer status may be obtained by our country in this international institution. The delegation of the conference headed by its chairman Janis Vucans is on a three-day visit in Minsk. Today, the guests met with the leadership of the House of Representatives. Germany, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Russia and other countries already have the observer status in the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference. It enables them to attend the meetings of the General Assembly of the Conference and its standing committees.
