Turkmenistan president arrives in Belarus on official visit
Turkmenistan President has arrived in Belarus on an official visit. It is expected that the two leaders will hold a one-on-one meeting and extended talks with the participation of the representatives of the two delegations. The presidents of Belarus and Turkmenistan will discuss the state of affairs and prospects of the Belarusian-Turkmen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. They will also discuss a number of landmark projects. After the talks the presidents will sign a joint statement. The Turkmenistan president will also plant a tree on the Alley of Distinguished Guests near the Palace of Independence. Alexander Lukashenko and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will also take part in the opening ceremony of the Turkmenistan Embassy in Belarus.
Mass Media in Belarus expo kicks off in Minsk
The 20th international expo Mass Media in Belarus opened in Minsk. Partaking in the event are representatives of state-owned TV channels, news agencies, leading state newspapers and magazines, regional media, radio companies, media companies of the CIS member states, China, Venezuela, Cuba, and other countries. The organizers promise to show the history of the development of media in Belarus using the examples of the oldest publications, as well as to present new communication technologies, particularly multimedia. The awards ceremony of the national print media competition Golden Letter will be held on the first day of the forum. The 11th Belarusian international media forum Partnership for the Future will be held as well.
First 10 Eurovision 2016 finalists named in Sweden
The first semi-final of Eurovision contest was held in Stockholm. According to the results representative of Russia Sergey Lazarev was among the first 10 finalists. Also among the finalists are contestants from Armenia, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia and Azerbaijan. Representative of Belarus Ivan will perform tomorrow in the second semifinal. He will be fifth and will sing the song "Help you fly."
