Today is the World Refugee Day
Today, the World Refugee Day is marked. According to the United Nations data, there are about 20 million forced migrants in the world. Europe has been facing the most of the problem over the recent years. Almost 2 million illegal foreigners came to the EU last year alone. It is caused first of all with armed conflicts and economic problems in the Middle East and North Africa countries. Most of the refugees make their way to Greece through Turkey and move further on to other EU states.

"Miss Belarus" has been elected in Minsk. 26 contestants fought for the title this year. The crown of white gold, phianites and topazes finally went to a citizen of Minsk Polina Borodacheva. The peculiarity of the jubilee 10th national competition is that it was held in the year of culture. That is why, President A.Lukashenko attended the finals. The Head of state noted, that “Miss Belarus” will influence the image of the country along with sportspeople and figures of culture. We remind you, that together with the title, the most beautiful young lady gets the right to represent our country at the competition “Miss World”, as well as take part in cultural, charitable events in Belarus and abroad.
Belarus national women's basketball team will take on at the Olympic games in Rio-de-Janeiro
Belarus national women's basketball team will take part in the Olympic games in Rio-de-Janeiro. This was the result of their match with team of South Korea. Our athletes left no chance for the competitors with the score 56:39! Thus, Belarus national women's basketball team got to the 12 best teams of the world for the second time in history. In the group A at the Olympics, the Belarusians will play against teams from France, Japan, Brazil, Australia and Turkey.
