Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko hopes to work out an efficient cooperation roadmap with World Bank. The statement was made by the Head of State at a meeting with World Bank Vice President Cyril Muller. The sides discussed areas of cooperation, which should be ambitious and saturated. In particular, the World Bank is ready to continue to provide assistance to Belarus in enhancing the competitiveness of products, diversification and modernization of production facilities. Special attention is paid to the development of transport infrastructure, which needs to be more technological. Cyril Muller said that it is a great honor for the World Bank to assist Belarus.The World Bank is currently implementing 10 projects in Belarus to the tune of almost $1 billion.

Gomel hosted seminar "Belarus in context of global social and political trends". Changes in political, cultural and economic spheres over past five years discussed at the seminar.
Less than a month remains before the 5th All-Belarusian People's Congress. Every region is preparing for this important political event. Belarus has delivered to the quake-hit province tents, blankets, mobile diesel power stations and folding beds and other thing that are in demand there. A devastating earthquake hit Ecuador’s coastal provinces on 16 April 2016. It claimed the lives of more than 600 people and left thousands homeless. The quake caused up to $3 billion of damage. 11 thousand kilometers in one direction is the distance that the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus has not flown yet.
