At the age of almost 20 he exhibited about 30 individual paintings.

After studies at the department of Gavriil Vashchenko he was invited to join a creative workshop of the People's Artist of the USSR Mikhail Savitsky. A strict teacher forced him to process the picture as many times as fabric withstood.

He has been working as a teacher for already 25 years - he educates monumental artists.
Today Olshevsky continues teaching. He also manages former academic workshops at Nekrasova Street. The Centre of Contemporary Arts was opened there a month ago.
Viktor Olshevsky allows young artists paint walls and turn furniture into art pieces.

Olshevsky prefers large forms. One can find luxury insets of precious metals on his canvases.
