Cembalist Alexandra Denisenya represented Belarus in final of young musicians contest "Eurovision-2012"16th International Eurovision Young Musicians Contest 2012, organized by the European Broadcasting Union, took place in Vienna. Cembalist Alexandra Denisenya represented Belarus at the contest and reached the final, where she performed "Concertino for Cembalos, String Orchestra and Percussions" by composer Vladimir Kuryan. By the decision of the panel of judges, Alexandra had the honor to perform first in the final of the classical "Eurovision-2012" (the drawing procedure didn't take place in advance). TV channels "Belarus 1" and "Belarus-TV" broadcasted the final of the music contest live. Eivind Holtsmark Ringstad from Norway who played the viola became the winner of the International Eurovision Young Musicians Contest 2012. Violinist Emmanuel Chknavoryan from Austria placed second, and the professional panel of judges awarded the third place to Narek Kazazyan from Armenia, who played the kanoon. Alexandra Denisenya was born in Minsk in 1994. She was awarded twice with scholarships and three times with grand-prizes of the Special Fund of the President of Belarus on the Support of Talented Youth. The performer is the laureate of many international and republican contests. She performed with the leading orchestra bands of Belarus many times. Accompanied by the concert orchestra of the Republican College of the Belarusian State Music Academy, she performed in different countries of Europe and Asia – Bahrain, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. Eurovision Young Musicians is an international contest of classical music for young talented musicians, which takes place once every two years. Belarus is participating in the contest for the second time. The first participant at the Eurovision Young Musicians Contest 2010 was cellist Ivan Karizna, who reached the final of the contest, like Alexandra. |
