Museum of Belarusian Statehood and President's Library opened in Minsk.

Despite the high status, the doors of the museum and library should be open for everyone. It was highlighted by Alexander Lukashenko, when he was visiting halls that collected over 4,000 historical exhibits and over 1 million prints.

Ivan Mikhailov reports: The idea to create the Museum of Belarusian Statehood appeared several years ago. It was initiated by Alexander Lukashenko. And it is rightly so that the Head of the State opens it personally.
Along with the museum, there was an opening of the President's Library. Its funds were preserved throughout the world and it was the main task to collect them.

Most rare books are preserved in storage facilities.

In the museum one can find a tribune, over which the first President of the Republic of Belarus took the oath of office, awards won by Belarusians at international forums, some equipment created over the years of independence, a sport overall of Darya Domracheva, gloves of Ruslan Salei, a racket of Max Mirny, samples of state awards, national currency and models of well-known Belarusian facilities.

It is symbolic that the opening of the Museum of Statehood coincided with the date of tragic events, which nearly changed the world and Belarusian history - anniversary of the Great Patriotic War.

The entire country marked the sorrowful day for Belarus. Thousands of people came to the legendary Brest Fortress on June 22.

Hundreds of people gathered on Buynichi Field in Mogilev at down. A rally-requiem took place there.
Dozens of cadets, pupils, Minskers came to the Victory Monument in Minsk at 4:00 a.m. sharp to lay flowers and pay tribute to fallen soldiers and officers.
