By Andrei Kozlov: Dinamo Minsk’s performance in the KHL season has been summed up at today’s conference featuring the club’s coach Craig Woodcroft and director general Anatoly Kurilets. Among the results pointed out at the conference are unconvincing playoff performance, budget optimisation and Belarusian hockey players getting dominant roles.

Dinamo Minsk advanced to the Kontinental Hockey League playoffs from the fifth place in the Western Conference, but the difference between scored and missed goals in the Gagarin Cup first round made up 9 to 20 not in the team’s favour.

This season, the Belarusian hockey players have scored more than 100 goals compared to about 60 scored by the legionaries.

The average match attendance has grown by more than 2,000 spectators compared to the previous season.

The team has a chance to close the chapter beautifully at the World Ice Hickey Championships to be held in Germany and France.
