Big talk with the President in the Palace of Independence

Alexander Lukashenko intends to adhere to socially-oriented model of state development. This statement has been made by the President of Belarus during today’s meeting with journalists, which began about an hour ago.

This time, the usual format of a press conference has been replaced with an open dialogue - any of the attendees can ask questions and express their views. The first question relating to the model of state development was asked by Belarus 1 TV channel anchor Dmitry Bochkov.

Internet forums and the blogosphere are actively involved in the discussion, as the President in his typical manner is sincerely answering all the questions asked by the journalists on behalf of their readers, ordinary people and active Internet users.

The open dialogue will be televised tonight at 9 p.m. on all the national channels. A live broadcast from the Palace of Independence is being provided by the First Channel of Belarusian Radio and Belteleradiocompany’s website tvr.by. Panorama will be aired earlier than usual - at 20:30.

The participants raise the issue of trade relations within the EAEU. Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that there shouldn't be any wars within the Union.

As far as the relations with the West are concerned, Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Belarus is not going to make PR from its role of mediator of the Ukrainian conflict.
