16 января 2017

It is expected the Belarusian leader will meet personally Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir. In politics it is very rare and a sign of  a special respect for the guest.

The two leaders are already  familiar: the Sudan's President visited Belarus in 2004. It was not only the first official visit in the history of states, but also the first visit of Omar al-Bashir to the European region.

The trade between Belarus and Sudan in 2015 was a little over 41 million dollars.  And it's basically the Belarusian export. The fertile land of the Nile is a significant part of the Sudanese economy.

Mohamed Abdel Azim, director of the company for the sale of agricultural machinery and equipment: "Now we sell a variety of models of Belarusian tractors and now we are interested in coming days to sign an agreement with MTZ. The assembly production is located 15 km of Khartoum. The city is located in the center of the country, so from here it will be easy to organize deliveries to other parts Sudan. These tractors have proven their quality, proven to be good for the sugar industry in South America."

The key talks between the leaders are scheduled for tomorrow. It is expected that the outcome will be a package of contracts, the total amount of which exceeds the annual turnover.
