President’s address in the Oval Hall lasts over three hours

Delivering a traditional message to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly, the President announced an action plan for the current year. Alexander Lukashenko began his speech with calling Belarus “an island of peace, tranquility and order”. According to the President, much depends on the diligent work of every Belarusian, as well as on the accuracy and correctness of the decisions made by the authorities. After all, the task is to preserve the greatest values ​​– peace, order and the independence of Belarus.

As for the country’s economic policy, Alexander Lukashenko said that important decisions ensuring new economic growth factors will be made until the end of the year. The President also spoke against an unreasonable increase in prices and suggested reducing the size of the state apparatus by another 10%.

Following the address, the President was asked a number of questions by parliamentarians. The deputies were interested in the development of various fields, including foreign policy, the economy, rural and cultural issues.

The conversation in the Oval Hall lasted a total of almost three hours.
