Belarusian and Chinese leaders meet in Beijing

Belarus and China established relationship of trust-based comprehensive strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation.

A qualitatively new status of the Belarusian-Chinese partnership is reflected in the joint declaration, which was signed today after a meeting in Beijing by President Alexander Lukashenko and President of China Xi Jinping. The document says that Belarus and China are going to shape the architecture of mutual benefit in economic cooperation. In addition to the meeting with the leader of China, the President of Belarus held today a series of talks with the most influential politicians of China. Beijing can count on assistance of Minsk in promotion of their interests in Europe. This was stated by Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting with the Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Xi Jinping, Chinese President:

"You are a great friend of the Chinese people. I appreciate your great contribution to the promotion of Sino-Belarusian relations. We have brought bilateral and multifaceted cooperation on the path of accelerated development. Your visit comes at a very important moment, when we sum up the Sino-Belarusian relations. China and Belarus are true friends and sincere partners. Thanks to joint efforts, our relations are developing dynamically and are raised to new levels, enhance mutual trust, practical cooperation in all fields. "

Among other topics, Alexander Lukashenko and Xi Jinping discussed the importance of developing inter-regional cooperation. They also discussed cooperation in the humanitarian sphere and tourism.

In addition to meeting with the head of China the Belarusian leader today held a series of talks with the most influential politicians of China. Beijing can count on the assistance of Minsk in the promotion of its interests in Europe.
