Sergey Khamentovsky: Summit "Normandy Four" in the Belarusian capital can be the culmination of a multilateral effort in searching for solutions to Ukrainian crisis. Diplomacy intensified in recent weeks.

Belarus has long provided a platform for participants in the negotiations. The issue has become top news in the world media. In general, the meeting brought together real players, and Belarus is now accepted by all participants of the crisis as a strong player in peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.

An important role is played by the political authority of the President of Belarus. On the one hand, Alexander Lukashenko has trusting relationship with Vladimir Putin, on the other he has established contacts with Peter Poroshenko.

The leaders of the "Normandy Four" came to the Palace of Independence. The head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko personally greeted everyone.

The President of Ukraine believes that Minsk Summit will return the Ukrainian crisis to the diplomatic channel.

The main topics will be withdrawal of heavy weapons, the establishment of a demilitarized zone and the beginning of a permanent dialogue between Kiev and Donbass. They say that the success of the dialogue depends on the Minsk decisions and US arms supplies to Ukraine.
