The security of the civilian population in the east of Ukraine should remain a priority for the participants of Minsk agreements. The OSCE Special Representative Martin Sajdik stated this after a meeting of the Contact Group. As the Austrian diplomat noted, securing the safety of civilians implies a comprehensive approach, which includes a ceasefire, the removal of heavy weapons, force and equipment, as well as demining.

Now observers are reporting a new round of confrontation in the east of Ukraine. Today, mutual bombings broke out in Lugansk Region. There are dead and wounded, their number is being specified. The army of Ukraine and the formation of the unrecognized LNR are accused of escalating the conflict.
