Belarus’ Supreme Court to change general practice approach in view of present-day realities

The Supreme Court of Belarus plans to change the systemic approach of general practice in view of present-day realities. A proposal has already been made to unify the concept of the low significance of a violation in the administrative and criminal codes. This will allow not to start administrative process in relation to a misdemeanor that has not led to any consequences, but to replace it with a financial penalty. This will optimize the burden imposed on state bodies and ensure equity.
Work is underway in Belarus on improving the legislative framework. In particular, a working group comprised of judicial experts is developing measures to optimize responsibility in a number of spheres, including the economic one.
