By Yuri Shevchuk: This year’s motorcycle season launch featured about 4,000 bilkers from 10 countries, including Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and the Czech Republic. The motorcycle column proceeded from the Mound of Glory to Minsk’s Football House, the Interior Minister being among the distinguished participants.

The Football House became this year’s main venue, hosting the large-scale H.O.G. Spring challenge. One of the event’s main goals was to draw attention to traffic safety, including motorcycle safety. The venue featured 10 recreation zones entertaining the guests and participants with a show by Russian motorcycle freestylers, Harley-Davidson performances, a master class by the country’s strongest people, a biker competition for the title of the CIS best sporting club and performances by Belarusian music stars.

This year, the organizers want to reach a new level and compete for holding the European H.O.G. Rally. Such ambitious plans are easily explained - next year Harley-Davidson will celebrate its 115th anniversary, and Belarusian fans are planning to pay tribute to the legendary brand.
