Air Forces hold final rehearsal of Independence Day parade

26 июня 2017

The Air Forces have practiced the first joint flight on the so-called “mirror route”, which completely repeats the main one and parallels it, but is displaced by 8 km. This year’s air column is comprised mainly of Belarus’ Air Forces, but also includes the aircrafts of the Emergency Situations Ministry, DOSAAF and Russian Air Forces. The air column will traditionally be headed by Mi-8 helicopters with Belarusian banners, followed by a Mi-26 helicopter as part of the Emergencies Ministry’s unit, accompanied by Canadian AS355 helicopters. The column will be closed by Russian K-52 helicopters.

The helicopters will then be followed by planes, including Yak-52 and Il-76 military transport aircraft.

The military show will culminate in the flight of L-39, painting the sky with the colors of Belarus’ national flag.
