30 сентября 2015

The national relics returned to their historic homeland. Kuntush belts were delivered to Minsk from Kaunas. These 4 masterpieces of weaving go back to the 18th century. They were created in the manufactories of Slutsk, Grodno and Gdansk. The important accessory of a male costume was sent to Kaunas by Maria Magdalena Radziwill. She gave her collection to Lithuanian funds early in the first half of the 20th century. The exhibition will be presented to the public tomorrow. It will also include portraits of ancestors of Maria Magdalena Radziwill and liturgical vestments made with silk weaving.
