Less than one day left before Slavic Bazaar opening ceremony in Vitebsk

By Olga Maslovskaya: Despite the fact that less than 24 hours are left before the official opening of the 26th International Festival of Arts Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk, festival events have been going on non-stop for several days at more than 10 venues. Today has seen the final of the 15th International Children's Music Contest Vitebsk 2017, Belarusian Maria Magilnaya performing at number 9. The contest winner will be announced tomorrow.

Prior to the official Slavic Bazaar opening, the festival project Puppet District was launched with the play Bremen Musicians by the Belarusian Lyalka Theater. The Puppet District program includes 15 performances by artists and puppets from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Sweden.

Today, the Summer Amphitheater has hosted a comedy play featuring Alexander Pankratov-Cherny and Svetlana Toma, a satirical show Once Upon a Time in Russia and a disco show featuring Alena Lanskaya, Dmitry Koldun, Stas Pyekha and Alexei Khlestov.
