Uber scientific and technical development center to launch at Hi-Tech Park

Conditions for developing unmanned transportation systems are being created in Belarus - a center for Uber scientific and technical development will be set up at the Hi-Tech Park.

Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov has met with Uber's managers today, supporting the company’s initiative on cooperating with the Hi-Tech Park. The head of Government stressed that the attention of the largest online service for passenger transportation to Belarus was a proof of the development dynamics of digital technologies and business environment in Belarus.

Hi-Tech Park Director Vsevolod Yanchevsky and Uber's Head for Europe, Middle East, and Africa Pierre-Dimitri Gore-Coty agreed on cooperation in the field of unmanned transportation and the opening of a center for scientific and technical development.

Uber was established in 2009. Today, its application is used in more than 76 countries.

Such a mega-corporation is making large-scale cooperation plans with the Hi-Tech Park for the first time.

Uber began operating in Belarus in 2015. The citizens of 72 countries have used its services on the country’s territory.
