Today, public discussions on documents on stimulating business activity are coming to an end. This month, representatives of business, government agencies, supervisory bodies, and activists expressed their opinions on how to liberalise entrepreneurship. Over a month, more than 40 proposals were submitted to Belaya Rus, a public association. In total, there are several hundred ideas in the country. Major decisions that will be made in the nearest future will influence both large and small businesses, including private entrepreneurs. The main task is to simplify the procedure of joining the sphere of business. The key document is the Draft Ordinance of the President. The main proposals are a moratorium on introducing new taxes and increasing tax rates, as well as measures that will reduce inspections and remove administrative barriers.

Sergei Novitsky, Deputy Chairman of the Council for Entrepreneurship Development in Belarus: "Today, Belaya Rus is our platform for discussing these documents. This is our largest public association. I believe that the document will be signed in the nearest future, it will be finalised in just a few weeks."

Andrei Matveenko, Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration: "We have more than 300 proposals on a variety of topics. The proposals have to do not only with changes in the conditions of entrepreneurship, but also with enhancing the culture of conducting responsible business. Within a month, a package of documents will be finalised by the working group and transferred to the Administration of the President."
