An assembly plant for MAZ trucks is planned to be launched in Vietnam in November. So far, the construction of the facility is at the foundation-laying stage, as reported by the Minsk mechanical engineering giant’s managers during a Vietnamese delegation’s visit. The guests have been demonstrated the best automotive equipment samples by the largest Belarusian manufacturers.

Yesterday, the partners confirmed the intention to create joint projects at the highest level with plans to assemble not only trucks, but also passenger buses.

The launch of the facility in Vietnam will allow assembling about 1,000 trucks a year. The project will open up opportunities for duty-free equipment exports not only to Vietnam, but also to other Southeast Asian countries that are members of ASEAN with a total population of 600 million people.
