Hunting tourism holds special place in Belarus’ service range

By Olga Maslovskaya: Issues associated with hunting tourism are constantly being monitored by scientists. International experts have gathered at a large-scale forum in the tourist complex Krasny Bor. Among the main topics of the forum is the preservation of genetic diversity and population of game animals.

Krasny Bor is home to Belarus’ only private scientific and practical centre, which opened a year ago. Six experts are involved in the development and implementation of scientific approaches in game management. A modern laboratory allows conducting complex genetic research. In just a few years, new populations of ungulate animals have been introduced in the territory of the hunting farm. Several dozen species of red deer were released into the wild here eighteen months ago.
